The Challenge

As the first PLAY event to be hosted outside of the US, the expectations were high. The client needed a venue that captured the dynamic and innovative spirit of the brand, while also supporting a complex format of plenary sessions, breakout discussions, and partner exhibitions.

With delegates travelling from across four continents, the space also needed to accommodate international requirements, provide a comfortable learning environment, and support high-level networking opportunities. The challenge was to take a blank canvas venue and transform it into a fully branded, high-end experience that felt both functional and immersive.

Our Solution

Avenue sourced Vinopolis, a flexible venue in the heart of London, and completely transformed the space to reflect the PLAY identity. Every detail was carefully curated—from bespoke branding and soft furnishings that recreated the feel of an in-home video viewing experience, to exhibition stands tailored for each partner.

The venue layout supported a seamless flow between plenary sessions, breakout lounges, and exhibition areas, ensuring delegates could learn, engage, and connect throughout the day. A lounge-style atmosphere was introduced in breakout rooms to mirror how video content is consumed in the real world—relaxed, informal, and tech-enabled.

Nearby hotel accommodation was arranged for both UK-based and international delegates, ensuring comfort and convenience throughout their stay.
